28 Apr Crossing The Finish Line
Today I submitted my last assignment on D2L. I’ve waited for this moment for a long time. Five years long to be exact. I’m a few days away from achieving an accomplishment that I thought would never get here. The thought of all those long nights spent in the James E. Walker Library are finally about to pay off. My path to get to this point right now was not an easy journey. I changed my major twice, failed a class, lost my Hope scholarship, and nearly loss hope for finishing school. I was honestly frustrated and stressed but this was the eustress I needed to make me turn my situation around. I discovered a major that I love and I changed my study habits. After I regained my Hope scholarship, I have been on the Dean’s List every semester. It’s not always where you start, but where you finish. To anyone reading this, I will be a graduate the next time you see me. Never give up! Crawl until you can walk, and walk until you can run to the finish line but never quit.
