Walking through cancer is tough. Linda knows…she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. But through that journey God has given her a new passion for encouraging women to walk their difficult roads with faith and joy. She understands that painful circumstances can challenge one’s faith. She also knows that God is faithful, even in the midst of those challenges. Linda longed for a devotional to help her through her own cancer treatment, but never found exactly what she needed. She wrote No Prissy Shoes: Trusting God To Walk You Through Your Cancer Journey to meet that need for other women.
Like you, Linda knows that life can furnish ample reasons for discouragement. But she also knows that there is a better way to live than being tossed around by life’s storms. After walking through her own cancer journey, Linda can testify that the power and peace of God are still available even when life feels like a hurricane. No Prissy Shoes, her 31-day devotional for women walking through cancer is a tonic for a flagging faith. It gives hope as it turns heads and hearts towards the God who still calms storms. Linda loves to tell her stories, which blend uplifting Biblical promises with inspiring God-incidences. Her passion for and understanding of the Word of God provide hopeful insights for others as they face their own difficult situations.
Linda is an inspirational columnist for South Carolina Woman magazine and an intercessor and lay eucharistic minister at her church. She calls Pawleys Island, South Carolina home and loves living in a pink and green house with donkeys and cows as some of her neighbors. Her favorite activities include doing anything with her husband and three nearly children, power walking, cooking and talking about Jesus…but not in that exact order!
